$250 non-refundable booking fee + $500 per day + expenses
Booking Fee: This must be sent to me as soon as possible to hold the date you desire. This fee is non-refundable and reflects a partial payment towards my visit. When I receive it, I will post this date on my schedule and consider us to have entered into a good faith commitment to fulfill all the expectations outlined on my website. My policy is fairly simple and straight forward. It's first come, first serve.
Retreat Weekends: $500 non-refundable booking fee + $1500 + expenses
Customized Workshop - I am more than happy to customize my workshops to meet your specific needs. Call me to discuss your desires and we’ll settle on the costs then.
Workshop Minimums - When I choose to leave my family to fulfill God’s vision and call on my life I need to know that I’m making my shots count. 20 people (5 of whom must be part of your leadership core) is the minimum number I will leave home for. If this number isn’t reached one week before my visit, I will regretfully need to pull the plug on the workshop. The booking fee will not be refunded, as I could have been somewhere else. You will have to work something out with the airlines to recover the money spent on my flight. If you feel like there are extenuating circumstances that might compel me to make an exception to this policy, please feel free to make them known and I will prayerfully consider them.
Recommendation & Comments - My recommendation is for the church or ministry to pay the booking fee and for the workshop participants to pay their own way. This promotes ownership both ways. Please know that I have never allowed money to stand in the way of ministry. So if you are struggling to see your way past the numbers, let’s talk and see if we can find a mutually agreeable solution. (Supporting churches and individual supporters can opt to waive the above fees if they so desire. The reason I can offer this workshop at these rates is because of your support. So do not hesitate to receive this as my gift back to you.) The money made from these workshops helps to offset the administrative costs I incur in the ministry. Historically, it’s been difficult to raise support for these kinds of expenses.
Payment: Payment is preferred in hand at the completion of my workshop. However, extenuating circumstances sometimes makes this unfeasible. In such cases, the expectation from my end is that the check would be cut and sent within one week of my visit unless agreed upon otherwise. Please make sure to separate the reimbursable expenses from workshop costs for IRS purposes. This breakdown is clearly laid out on the expense sheet I will hand over to you when we settle up. All checks should be made out and sent to me.
Typical Expenses
I have always committed myself to keeping my travel expenses to a minimum (no frills/no thrills). I have listed the typical expenses below to help you plan your budget accordingly.
Mileage: To and from airport / To and from location (50 cents a mile)
120 miles roundtrip to Cincinnati and Dayton’s airport, 180 miles for Columbus
Airfare: (I typically book the cheapest flight with a reasonable itinerary.)
Rental Car / Gas: (I typically rent the cheapest economy car possible.)
Meals: Click for Current Daily Per Diem Rate as allowable by the IRS
Tolls: (When applicable)
Airport Parking: $6 to $7 per day depending on which airport
Lodging: I prefer to stay with someone in leadership to eliminate this expense.
Workouts: I try hard to swim or workout daily when I'm traveling. I've had a total knee replacement which requires me to do this. If you have a local YMCA, my Y membership usually gets me in the door for free. If it doesn't, this would be an additional expense.
